Dr. Michelle Bernreuther
Michelle grew up in the snow country of Oswego, NY. To escape the cold, she chose to go to Duke University in North Carolina for the warmth, academic environment, and fun of the Blue Devil basketball team. During March Madness you can always expect her to root for her college team!
After deciding on a Chemistry major in college, Michelle was unsure which path to follow for grad school until someone asked her what she was passionate about. She loved being artistic, creating things with her hands, problem solving, and science. Combined with her realization that she always stared at people’s teeth, dentistry appeared to be a perfect option.
Dr. Kerri Ann Swan
Dr. Kerri Ann Swan grew up on Long Island, NY, and earned her bachelor degrees in chemistry and biology from Loyola University Maryland. Initially intending to become a physician, this path changed course over a single summer. A close family friend, a dentist of 30+ years, asked Kerri for a favor one summer. His dental assistant was suddenly called away from the practice, leaving him without this critical position. Kerri stepped in and became a member of their team for the summer, changing her mind about becoming a physician. She fell in love with the field; the close relationships with their patients, the pace of the day, and the constant variety and excitement of general dentistry.
Kerri graduated from the University of Maryland Dental School and College of Dental Surgery in 2014. She was accepted to General Practice Residency program at Lehigh Valley Health Network, where she focused on completing complex and difficult restorative and surgical cases. Dr. Swan is dedicated to continually learning new methods and procedures and has completed a prosthetic course with the Misch Implant Institute so she can even better serve her patients. She is currently restoring the implant cases of Dr. Michelle Bernreuther, who is an invaluable source of knowledge and support for her. Kerri has always felt completely at home working at Affordable Dental Solutions. She loves that they not only strive for the highest quality patient care, but that they constantly support her growing career. Kerri thrives in the Reading office’s efficient and fast paced environment, due to the wonderful team around her. She views the people she works with as family and wouldn’t have it any other way!
In her free time, Kerri enjoys traveling, going to the beach, listening to music, and spending time with her friends and family. Dr. Swan’s goal is to always do what is best for her patients; providing them with pleasant, comfortable, and high quality dental care every time they come for a visit.

After graduating, he practiced in New Jersey for a year and then moved to Boston to teach at Boston University for 6 years. He moved to Florida in 1989, where he owned his own dental practice. Dr. Andrew Branton
Dr. Andrew Branton completed his B.S. in Business Management from Virginia Tech University in the spring of 2007. After completing his bachelor’s degree, he enrolled at the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) in Bergen, Norway where he completed a Masters in International Business degree and graduated in the spring of 2009. Dr. Branton worked in insurance and investment sales for a financial planning firm for 1.5 years before deciding to make a career change.
One day he was complaining to his father (a dentist of 30+ years) about his frustration in investment sales, right after the housing market crashed in 2008, and his father asked why he had never considered dentistry as a career path. He laughed off the suggestion at first but that simple comment had planted a seed in his head. He had always loved working with his hands and had thrived in his science classes in high school. After a month of thinking it over and researching what he would have to do to apply to dental school, he decided to quit his job and return to school.
He enrolled at Muhlenberg College to complete the science classes required to apply to dental school. After completion of the prerequisite courses, he applied and was accepted to Temple Dental School. He graduated from Temple Dental School in 2016 and began working for ADS shortly after graduation.
Dr. Branton has loved every minute working at ADS due to their commitment to his development as a professional and the extensive network of knowledge he has access to through the other doctors in the practice. He has completed comprehensive courses in IV sedation and implant placement/restoration. Dr. Michelle Bernreuther has worked as his mentor in implant placement over the past year and has provided invaluable insight into the world of implant dentistry. He is also excited that ADS will be able to provide IV sedation to patients that have dental anxiety and are receiving surgical treatment
When not working, he enjoys skiing, hiking, swimming, playing guitar, listening to music and cooking. Born and raised in the Lehigh Valley, he currently lives in Allentown with his 5-year-old son.
Dr. Katie Alger
Katie decided to become a dentist during her sophomore year at Penn after her mother needed a tooth extracted. Her mom was phobic of the dentist and asked if Katie could stay in the room in order to help keep her calm. The events of that appointment made Katie realize that dentistry was the perfect intersection of her interests in science, helping others, and working with her hands.
After college, Katie made the move to NYC to attend dental school at Columbia University followed by a 1-year general practice residency at North Shore University Hospital. She enjoyed the challenge of treating complex cases in her first year of residency and therefore jumped at the opportunity to serve as chief resident and complete an additional 2-year fellowship in advanced prosthetics and implant dentistry. In the fellowship, Katie became proficient in treating full mouth implant rehabilitations using cutting edge technology.
Katie was attracted to ADS because of its supportive culture and goal to constantly improve patient care. At ADS she utilizes 3D imaging, 3D printing, and CAD/CAM milling technology in order to streamline her patients’ treatment. With the use of digital dentistry she is able to reduce treatment times, minimize post-operative pain, and deliver high quality results. Find out more about the technology used at ADS.
When Katie isn’t practicing dentistry, she can be found spending time outdoors and spending time with family and friends. Her favorite activities include cooking, waterskiing, and hiking.
