Dr. Andrew Branton completed his B.S. in Business Management from Virginia Tech University in the spring of 2007. After completing his bachelor’s degree, he enrolled at the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) in Bergen, Norway where he completed a Masters in International Business degree and graduated in the spring of 2009. Dr. Branton worked in insurance and investment sales for a financial planning firm for 1.5 years before deciding to make a career change.
One day he was complaining to his father (a dentist of 30+ years) about his frustration in investment sales, right after the housing market crashed in 2008, and his father asked why he had never considered dentistry as a career path. He laughed off the suggestion at first but that simple comment had planted a seed in his head. He had always loved working with his hands and had thrived in his science classes in high school. After a month of thinking it over and researching what he would have to do to apply to dental school, he decided to quit his job and return to school.
He enrolled at Muhlenberg College to complete the science classes required to apply to dental school. After completion of the prerequisite courses, he applied and was accepted to Temple Dental School. He graduated from Temple Dental School in 2016 and began working for ADS shortly after graduation.
Dr. Branton has loved every minute working at ADS due to their commitment to his development as a professional and the extensive network of knowledge he has access to through the other doctors in the practice. He has completed comprehensive courses in IV sedation and implant placement/restoration. Dr. Michelle Bernreuther has worked as his mentor in implant placement over the past year and has provided invaluable insight into the world of implant dentistry. He is also excited that ADS will be able to provide IV sedation to patients that have dental anxiety and are receiving surgical treatment
When not working, he enjoys skiing, hiking, swimming, playing guitar, listening to music and cooking. Born and raised in the Lehigh Valley, he currently lives in Allentown with his 5-year-old son.
